About the song:
This song was written based on a pop-psychology phrase AV learned about. She attempted to write inspired by that phrase as a challenge from a songwriting peer, but wasn't happy with anything she came up with.
Then she was robbed by a drug addict in her inner city McCauley home while she was in it. The robbery luckily did not involve any violence for neither AV nor the robber, and AV was able to usher him out the door-- and another lucky thing about the robbery was that it inspired AV for the 1st verse of the song that became 'Hurt People Hurt People"-- a song that broke into the Top 100 Pop Radio Charts in Germany the year it was released (2019), which is a feat virtually unheard of for a non-major label let alone independent artist.
